A Perfect Day

An interesting day today, to say the very least, and very enjoyable. Audra and I watch the four younger grandkids while all the guys and Abbey went to the laser tag place for a few hours.  A good time was had by all...in both locations.  After lunch and naps everyone came home there was a wagon ride to the pond to feed the ducks and pick up trash and then it was off to help out at the spice shop so Able and Kari could take her nephew to B's birthday party.
By the time I made it back from closing up at the shop, three adults and five little kids were in the midst of a fierce game of Mousetrap at the kitchen table. Hilarious! They had saved me some of Abbey's delicious Mac'n Cheese and rich and creamy caramels from the 42nd Street Candy Company. Perfection.
All the stars seemed to be in alignment today and, after 'books-baths-brushing of teeth' time, B came out and asked me if I would come in and sing him his special Starlight song and take them on an trip to what we call "The Secret Garden" which is a perfectly safe and holy place where we go in our imaginations.  In the Fall we traveled there lots of times but we haven't been back since the holidays started.
So you see, sometimes the waters are roiling and threatening to tip the boat over the falls and then the weather clears and it's smooth and peaceful sailing on a sunny day.  One never knows what the morning will holds in store.
