Magic Moment

It was probably an accident but the soft focus on this picture is perfect for bringing our attention to the idea of the shot, instead of to the actual people involved.  This is a poignant moment between every bride and every little girl, always and everywhere the same, and it touches me deeply for some reason.  

     Here is a young woman on her wedding day, the first day of the rest of her life. She holds in her arms a little girl in a twirly skirt, her hair in bows, a snapshot of childhood.  They dance, the child skips away, and the woman moves into the arms of her beloved.
     Tale as old as time...
