JB's Surgery

As you have probably heard, Jingle Boy lost a leg the other day. Oh, don't worry, we did an immediate leg reattachment surgery and it was completely successful. I was the surgeon with Zane and Rowan as my assistants. Wow! Those two are very thorough and Johnny on the spot in the OR.  They took vitals, hung the IVs, took blood pressure, administered the anesthetic and drove JB in the ambulance (aka: a firetruck) to recovery.

Here is Rowan, giving him cuddles after his stint in the hospital.

He has completely recovered now. He's a quick healer. JB is presently with Able and Kari, preparing for his latest travels. This time he is heading to London, where he hopes to visit his pub, JB's, and have a pint or two with his old mates.  (JB is a drinker, I'm not going to lie to you. You have to watch him or the next thing you know he is up on the table doing the hula or something. ) After London he heads for the continent where he hopes to have a photo op with Pope Frances. We'll see how that turns out. He also plans to visit Istanbul  and see the Maggia Sophia Museum. He and I watched a documentary on it the other day and he is super stoked to see it in person. He will have stories to tell when he gets back to Oklahoma. (In truth, there will probably be no living with him for awhile. )
Today was a beautiful snowy day.  I am back on antibiotics so it was a perfect day to take it easy and watch the birds at the feeders and the snow falling.  Everyone I know who has been sick this winter has had to go through it twice, so now I am completing my "Sick in 2015" merit badge…if there is such a thing.
My ears and head hurt so much that I really don't want to be reading. I've watched some movies but mostly have sipped tea and watched the birds. This is an old shot of Jingle and his brother Jangle on their tiny sled.
Here is a list of all the places JB/Jangle have visited in their short lives.  I feel like I'm forgetting some spots. Guess I'll have to break out the photo albums and check my facts. I am thinking about going on a All-USA Carousel Tour with him one of these days. Other places on his bucket list are: Australia, Costa Rica, Antarctica, Easter Island, the Twin Towers Memorial, Hogwarts, The Netherlands, Germany, Romania, the planets Galafray and Mars. Remember, if you are traveling somewhere and want to take him along, let me know and we will get him to you.
