Poem: Invisible

white Peonies and yellow Iris
        clothes flapping on a line,
              tea in a blue cup,
and marbles,
          mumbling amongst themselves,
eager to capture the light

the sounds of water over stone,
voices of tiny frogs and bright birds,
the eyes and heart of a friend,
and music,
         singing the soul's secrets

all these are balm and blessing,
when I am lost and undone,
               standing in the eye,
and wondering,
       whether and whither to go
